Here's a look at some recent news of interest concerning Wofford athletics:

- Terrier assistant men's basketball coach Darris Nichols has accepted an assistant coaching job at Louisiana Tech.
- Two former Terriers have joined the Carolina Panthers organization, as kicker Kasey Redfern signed as a free agent on Thursday. He is accompanied by Brenton Bersin, who attended training camp in 2012, and was on the practice squad last season.
- Thirty-one Terriers earned spots on the SoCon's 2014 Spring Academic All-Conference Team. The selected include nine from the baseball, eight from women's outdoor track and field, four from women's tennis and men's outdoor track and field, three from women's golf, two from men's golf, and one from men's tennis.
- Additionally, a school-record 207 Terrier student-athletes were named to the 2013-14 SoCon Academic Honor Roll.
- Todd Shanesy, Wofford beatwriter for the Spartanburg Herald-Journal, has compiled a list of where the Terriers are playing baseball this summer.
- Also, Shansey tweeted that Wofford's 2014-15 men's basketball schedule will possibly include a New Year's Eve game at Duke, and a game against Iona (who defeated the Terriers 76-55 last season) at Ben Johnson Arena, which will be featured on ESPN.

- Two new assistant coaches, Sarah Gildersleeve and Kalin Zimmerman, will be joining the Terrier volleyball coaching staff.
