Georgia Tech uses second half power to beat scrappy Terriers in season opener

Today, the Terriers kicked off the 2014 football season in Atlanta, taking on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets of the ACC. It's the two squads' first meeting since 1901, so we can't really say much in that respect. Everything will have to be settled on the gridiron at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

We've had some great kickers in the past. Even last year's starter, Kasey Redfern, is now making a name for himself with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Then again, we've usually had somewhat of a good depth to our specialists. This year, that changes a little.

Position Profile: OL/TE

Ask any Terrier fan, hardcore or casual, what any success we can hope to achieve this season will hinge on, and there's a good chance that their answers contain some allusion to the strength of the offensive line.

There's a lot of pressure on this year's team, like a squad of any given season, to uphold the program's stance in the conference, but, after a year like 2013, the airs of rebuilding and adjusting to the changing times are prevalent in the minds of staff, as well as the fans.
